This is Jodi. She was our primary contact as we
planned our trip over many months. She has to weigh all the baggage before it
can go on the plane. The limit is 50 pounds per person. If the baggage is too
heavy, it takes away from supplies that have to go up on the plane. Remember,
in the summer time, there is no other way to get there. |

Jodi and Niko - the newest addition to the
operation. |

Bolton Lake Lodge has their own fleet of
aircraft. Here, our pilot pre-flights the Piper Navajo. |
 |
Bolton planes operate from their private hanger
about 30 miles north of Winnipeg. To our surprise, there was another
group from Indiana traveling up that day. |
 |
Here I am. Bob, the fisherman. |
 |
Here's David, the photographer. |
|
The larger and slower Islander departed before
our Navajo. We literally passed them on the way up. David got this quick shot
on the way by. |
|
This is the main lodge, a couple of miles (over
water) from the air strip. |
 |
On the ground and getting our things out of the
plane. |
 |
Unloading the Islander. |
 |
The other folks from Indiana were flying to one
of the Bolton Outpost locations. So for them, it was out of one plane and into
another. But from here on, it's all liquid runway. |
 |
For us, it was into the boats for a ride to the
Lodge. |
